We approach problems in human health from a number of angles designed to rapidly translate discoveries in basic science through physiological systems and clinical research into new therapies, community awareness and public health improvements.
The Liggins stands out amongst international biomedical research institutes because we are truly multidisciplinary. Our strength lies in our capacity to perform and deliver high quality translational research.
The Liggins building on The University’s Grafton Campus houses specialised laboratory facilities and a purpose designed clinical research unit for metabolic studies on children. Many of our facilities are available to researchers outside the Liggins Institute.
