Research interests

• Pathogenesis of insulin resistance and the metabolic syndrome
• The role of dietary functional lipids in the prevention and treatment of these conditions
   

I graduated in medicine from The University of Auckland School of Medicine in 2003 and began clinical work in Rotorua and later Whangarei before returning to Auckland.
I have completed basic paediatric training and am in the process of specializing in Paediatric Endocrinology. As part of this I am working towards a PhD, the title of which is ‘Metabolic effects of Omega-3’.
